 Higginson Architects, Inc. was formed in 2015 with a belief that design is driven by each project’s goals. We view each of our clients and their projects as a unique opportunity, which is why we create vibrant, engaging spaces that encourage activity and foster a meaningful community.  HAI brings together an experienced and diverse team of professionals capable of providing full architectural and engineering services.  We have experience with residential, commercial, educational, civic, and ecclesiastical Architecture projects.  From small remodels to ground up facilities, we have the experience of meeting the needs of a wide variety of clients.  This experience comes from years of creating successful relationships and spaces that motivate and enrich the public’s experience.

Higginson Architects, Inc. has completed hundreds of projects ranging from small remodels to full comprehensive public school buildings.  Having been licensed since 1988, David Higginson, AIA, has successfully completed over 2500 projects for various private, commercial, civic, and institutional architecture.  He has enjoyed being a managing partner in several successful architectural practices.  At this time in his career, the choice to be a sole-practitioner affords him more time to focus on quality versus quantity of projects

 David Higginson, AIA, is an officer and sole-practitioner in the firm of Higginson Architects, Inc.

 

 Graduating from the University of Redlands with a degree in Business and Management he has also attended Cal Poly Pomona College of Extended Architectural Studies and Liberty University graduating with a Masters in Theology.  A licensed architect in the state of California since 1988, he also holds licenses in the states of Washington, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona, and Hawaii.  He is active with the California State Board of Architects in assisting with the Development of the Supplemental Exam and was recently awarded the 2020 Octavius Morgan Distinguished Service Award. He also is a Subject Matter Expert for the Enforcement Division of the CAB.  He has participated in numerous emergency events for as a Volunteer member of the State of California Emergency Management Services (CAL EMA). 

 

 Mr. Higginson maintains a strong role in developing and maintaining client relations.  He is very active in promoting the profession of Architecture and has given numerous presentations and career workshops for both high school and college level students.  

 

 Mr. Higginson is a member of the AIA and is past-president of the Inland Chapter.  He is very active in the community as well as being active at Sandals Church Banning.  His passions include photography, fly-fishing and classic cars.
